1. Who We Are

NiveshQ is a product of JM Bros Infotech LLP, registered in Dhenkanal, Odisha, India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use NiveshQ ("Platform").

2. Information We Collect

a) Portfolio Data (for calculations)

When you use our tools, you provide mutual fund holding details such as fund names, purchase dates, units, and NAV values. This data is sent to our server for calculation purposes, stored temporarily for up to 1 hour to enable report generation, and automatically deleted after expiry. We do not permanently store your portfolio data.

b) CAS File Uploads

If you upload a MFCentral CAS file (XLSX/CSV), it is parsed entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript. Your CAS file is never uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on our servers. The parsed data (fund names, dates, units, NAVs) is then sent to our server only when you click "Calculate" — the raw file never leaves your device.

c) Contact Information

We may collect your email address and/or phone number when you voluntarily provide them — for example, when contacting support or opting in to product updates. We use this information to respond to inquiries, send transaction confirmations, and share product updates or new tool announcements. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by emailing us.

d) Payment Information

Payments are processed by Cashfree Payments, a RBI-licensed payment aggregator. We do NOT collect, store, or have access to your credit/debit card numbers, UPI PINs, net banking credentials, or any sensitive payment information. From Cashfree, we receive only: order ID, payment amount, payment status (success/failure), and transaction timestamp. This data is stored temporarily (up to 24 hours) for payment verification and then deleted.

e) Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, does not track individual users, and is fully compliant with GDPR and Indian privacy regulations. It provides us only with aggregate statistics such as page views, referral sources, and device types.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to: perform the financial calculations you request, generate and deliver reports and PDF action plans, process payments and verify transactions, respond to support inquiries, improve our tools and fix technical issues, and send product updates (with your consent).

4. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal or financial data with any third party. The only third-party service that receives any data is Cashfree Payments for the sole purpose of processing your payment. We do not share your portfolio data, fund holdings, or calculation results with anyone.

5. Data Retention

We follow a strict minimal data retention policy:

Portfolio/calculation data: Automatically deleted after 1 hour.

Payment verification tokens: Automatically deleted after 24 hours.

CAS files: Never stored — processed in your browser only.

Contact information: Retained until you request deletion.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data: all connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption, server-side data is stored on Cloudflare's globally distributed infrastructure with enterprise-grade security, payment processing is handled by Cashfree (PCI DSS compliant), and we minimize data collection and retention wherever possible.

7. Cookies

NiveshQ does NOT use cookies. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies. Session data required for payment verification is stored in your browser's sessionStorage, which is automatically cleared when you close the tab.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to: know what data we hold about you, request deletion of your contact information, opt out of marketing communications, and lodge a complaint if you believe your data has been mishandled. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@niveshq.com.

9. Children's Privacy

NiveshQ is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of NiveshQ after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
